Toucan and Enfield CLC are offering a unique three-day, CPD course for Teachers. The three days offer an unprecedented opportunity to really grasp a range of digital creative skills and develop a new ICT confidence for the next academic year.
Sessions offer access to an Apple laptop or desktop computer with iLife and iWork as well as Final Cut and Logic Express. Other applications include Comic Life, I Can Animate and Photoshop. Teachers can bring their own Apple laptops, but they will need to be running iLife 09 and Leopard OSX 10.5.
The workshops build a set of skills supporting the creation of digital projects by combining digital images, sound and moving images. It’s the perfect tonic for both the new Primary Curriculum and project-based learning in secondary schools.
Teachers will attend workshops and keynote presentations and will develop a curriculum-based digital production. An additional focus for the event will be how creativity and handheld learning can be combined to create an exciting learning experience. The software used will include iMovie, GarageBand, iPhoto, iTunes, iWeb, Final Cut Express, Logic Express, Comic Life, Photoshop and I Can Animate.
The sessions are led by experienced teachers, who are using Apple technology every day in the classroom. Projects will be shared to disk. There will be “tips and tricks PDF’s” and support materials that really aim to build capacity.
