Privacy Policy March 2018

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to Toucan Computing. We have, therefore, created a Privacy Policy that clearly outlines how we use and protect your information in line with the latest GDPR regulations.

Collecting personal information

Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify a single person.

Toucan Computing may occasionally ask you to provide personal information. If this does occur, then you can rest assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Types of personal information

When you are in contact with Toucan Computing, or partake in any of the activities such as registering your interest in products or e-shots, purchasing a product, registering for an event or training or participating in an online survey, we may collect a variety of information. This information can include your name, postal address, phone number and email address.

Using your personal information

Toucan Computing will use your data to allow us to keep you up to date on our latest announcements and upcoming events. If you opt in, you will be added to our mailing list in line with the most recent GDPR regulations. You can easily contact us if you would like to be forgotten.

We will also use your personal information to help us deliver any products and services you purchase from us.  Occasionally, we may use your personal information to send important communications about changes to our terms, conditions and policies.

Visitor information on our website

Every computer connected to the internet is provided with a domain name and an IP Address. When a visitor requests a web page from within the Toucan Computing website, our servers automatically identify and log the HTTP/S request that is made.

Our website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information. You can read Google’s privacy policy here for further information: http://www.google.com/privacy.html

Toucan Computing has found it advantageous to examine visitor traffic so that we can ensure maximum compatibility for the various browsers and operating systems that visit our site. By analysing visitation patterns, referring URL’s and search engine terms, we can strategically enhance our exposure across the Internet.

Cookies and log information

This website does issue ‘cookies’ (these are small files of information which websites use to identify its users); however, these do not contain personal information. Toucan Computing does not share this data with third parties. You can disable cookies by altering the settings of your browser and the website will still function.

 Anti-Spam policy

We enforce a strict ‘Anti-Spam’ policy that means we do not intend to sell, rent, or otherwise give your email address to a third-party. In addition, Toucan Computing will not send you messages that you have not agreed to receive.

Third parties

Toucan Computing will disclose your personal information or any of its log file information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such actions are necessary. Your personal information will not be shared with or sold to third parties for any purposes.

Product and service providers

Toucan Computing may need to share your personal information with partner companies who provide products or services on behalf of Toucan Computing. These providers will partake in activities such as fulfilling customer orders, delivering products to you or providing customer service. These companies are obligated to protect your data.

Protecting your personal information

Toucan Computing will ensure precautions are adhered to including administrative, technical and physical measures that will safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and misuse, as well as against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Toucan Computing’s commitment to your privacy

To ensure your personal information is secure, we will communicate our privacy and security guidelines to our employees and strictly enforce privacy safeguards.
